Douglas Webber Obituary

Doug Webber, age 45, left this world unexpectedly and was called to glory on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Doug passed away at Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, California, surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. Doug was born March 2, 1969, in Miami, Oklahoma. He resided in Baxter Springs, Kansas, until 1981 when he moved with his family to Bakersfield, California. Doug attended Harding Elementary, Compton Jr. High, and Foothill High School. Doug worked various jobs as a laborer in his adult life and was a very hardworking, fair, and honest man.
At a young age, Doug enjoyed playing football and baseball. His favorite pastime hobby was riding his bike, which carried over into his adult life. Doug will be remembered for his bike rides all over Bakersfield as he traveled to visit his many friends. Doug never met a stranger. Once you met Doug, you became a friend and a recipient of his kindness and generosity. Doug would do anything for anyone without hesitation. Another favorite pastime of Doug's was going to casinos; they gave him great pleasure.
Doug leaves behind his mother, Randy Webber; two brothers, Perry Webber (Kristi) and Dusty Webber (Amanda); sister, Stacy Francis (Darin); son, Douglas Edward Webber Jr. of Oceano, CA; daughter, Danielle Weber (David) of Bakersfield, CA; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Bailey; brother-in-law, Tommy Francis; nephews, Josh Francis, Tony Webber (Desiree), Nathan Francis, Dylan Webber, and Brixton Webber. Doug also leaves behind his aunt, Jennie Belle Allen (Mike); cousins, Shane Allen (Tracy), Chad Allen (Julie) of Baxter Springs, KS. Doug was preceded in death and is now reunited with his father, Lonnie Wayne Webber; grandparents, Bill and Ida Reddy; infant sister, Lisa Lynn; granddaughter, Ellie Ann Weber; and two very special aunts, Margaret Reddy and Bobbie Craig.
Doug was one of a kind! Our hearts are broken. We love and miss him so much. His love is in our hearts forever. Heaven gained another angel. Until we are all together again, REST IN PEACE.
A visitation service is scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2015, at 1:00 p.m.; preceding the funeral service Friday, February 6, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Funeral Home Southwest, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA. For condolences, please visit:
