Gracie Carlisle Obituary
In 1943 Gracie met the love of her life James Carlisle in Pine Bluff, Arkansas in 1948. She and James moved their family to Bakersfield, California. James started working for BNAF Railroad. Gracie had various jobs in her life time. She cooked in major hospitals; she had a licensed care facility in her home for 20 years.
Gracie is preceded in death by her husband James, brother Cleophus, sister Bobbie Jean, son TC, and grandson Greg Colbert. She is survived by sons Curley Carlisle (Wilma) James, Jr., daughters Ellawee Colbert, Mae Woodard, Janet Musgrove, Jammie Lee Carlisle, Dorothy Ellis (George), Ophelie Charles (Robert) all of Bakersfield. She also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-great grandchildren.
