Michael Schultz Obituary

Michael went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 3, at the age of 55, in Tehachapi. Michael was a loving husband and was married to Christina for 24 years. He was a devoted father to Daniel, David and Angela. He enjoyed music, gardening, canning, reading, retaining random bits of knowledge and trivia, and hunting annually with his brother and children. Michael is survived by his sister, Sandra Reeves and husband, Bill of Magalia; sister, Pamela Beldon and husband, Lee of Brownsville; brother, Thomas Schultz and wife, Linda of Lancaster; foster sister, Pat McDougal and husband, Don of Fallbrook; foster sister ,Pamela Cook of Fallbrook; stepfather, Ross Daily of Fallbrook; and many greatly loved nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Daisy and Rowland Schultz, and niece, Erin Schultz. Michael was born in Fallbrook, attended grade school in Rainbow Valley and graduated from Fallbrook Union High School in 1969. He graduated from Palomar Junior College and Christian Heritage College. Michael's love of aviation led him to SOMA/School of Mission Aviation, at Christian Heritage College in San Diego. Michael and Christina moved to Tehachapi in 1985 when he began working at Scaled Composites, in Mojave. In later years he was also employed by Northrop Grumman, SwissAir, NASA and, most recently, at Lloyd's Aviation, in Bakersfield. Michael was an active member of Mountain Bible Church in Tehachapi, where he served on various committees during his twenty years of membership. Michael loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He had a passion for leaning about Creation Science and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and faith to all. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at Mountain Bible Church, in Tehachapi, CA, on Saturday, January 13th, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to a local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, in memory of Michael and his niece, Erin Schultz. Dearest Tina and family - I wish I could be with you today, but I'm glad at least Ken is there. I loved Mike's big booming voice, the smile that split his face ear to ear, his many talents, his love for others and his deep friendship with my Ken. I know today will be hard, but I know you are confident in the Lord your God and you are absolutely certain that Michael is with his Savior, Jesus Christ. We will look forward to a forever reunion one day. All my love, Lori McCune
