Ruth Isbell-Bell Obituary

Ruth Helen Isbell - Bell 1934 - 2008 Greenlawn Mortuary Ruth Helen Isbell - Bell was a resident of Kern County for over 50 years. She was born in Wellington, Texas on August 31, 1934, and moved to Bakersfield in 1957. She loved bowling, cooking, selling Avon and spending time with her family. She went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2008, at the age of 74. Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Don Isbell, who died in 1971, and her second husband, Ralph Bell, who died in 1982. She is survived by her five sons: Jerry, Randy, Jim, Ben and Tim, their wives; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a kindhearted and caring mother by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Graveside services were held at Greenlawn Memorial Park (River Blvd.), on Monday, September 15, 2008.

Mom, I love you very much. I will think about you and our many memories every day. You were always there for me, through thick and thin. I wasn't always a good son and I made a lot of mistakes in life, but you were always there for me no matter what. And I really thank you for that.
I'd also like to thank everyone who attended mom's funeral and/or signed the guest book.. your support during this difficult time is appreciated more than you know. Thank you all.

Randy and family, I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I have lost both of my parents since I last spoke with you, so I know how difficult your loss is. Speaking of my parents they too were from Wellington, Texas(small world) I bet they knew each other, it is such a small town.

Jerry and all the Family I knew your Family and I was one of the People you went to Church with. Jerry you have to Remember to take One Day At A Time and just think she is your ANGEL ON YOUR SHOULDER NOW. I am so Sorry to see she is Gone. We had all lived in Lamont at one time.
