WESLEY BROGDON Obituary
Wes is survived by his wife, Lee Brogdon; his children, Bruce and Paula Brogdon and Shavaler Crawford; Grandchildren, Tyler Wood, Dustin Mole and Sadie Crawford; sister, Jean Walbormand and Dinah Brogdon; brothers, Wayne and Raymond Brogdon and numerous other family members and friends. He will be missed by all, especially by his friend George and Terri Gorospe, Ken and Mary Spuck and Richard and Sally Osborn.
Wes and Lee met at the Bakersfield Funny Farm while taking dance lessons. They got married on September 6, 1990 in Virginia City, Nevada. He loved to go dancing, going to the Casino's and camping with his family and friends. He loved to have fun and kid around, usually at someone else's expense. Wes will be remembered for his sense of humor, willingness to help others and for the practical jokes he played. He was a huge Rams fan and never missed a game. He was so excited when they moved back to California and was looking forward to going to a game, but sadly he will not be able to. We are saddened by his passing, but know that we will be together again in the mansion in the sky we look forward to that day.
A visitation will be held at Basham-Hopson Funeral Care (620 Oregon St,) on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Graveside services will be held Arvin Cemetery (15543 S. Vineland Road) on Tuesday September 20, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Mike Osthimer of Calvary Chapel Church will officiate.

Here it is 6 months later and I just found out you had passed. Then I remembered the summer you asked us to help you empty out your swimming pool, you sat there drinking a glass of ice tea while we tossed bucket after bucket of stale water over the side, you laughed and joked about how all that hard work really makes a man thirsty. Then the next summer you had to install a new larger pump for that pool and needed to cut a new hole in the side for it. You convinced me to do it because even tho neither one of us knew what the heck we were doing it would be easier to tell Lee that I Ruined the pool instead of you. Remember when I moved out on my own and rented my first house....you bought me a bed. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. You were one of a kind and will be missed. Lee... I wish I had been there for you. I think of you often. You are in my heart and my prayers.

I just learned of Wesley's passing today. He will be greatly missed and was very much loved and adored by the Roosevelt staff. I was honored to be able to work with Wesley and we always looked forward to him substituting at our site. Prayers for his family & we will never forget him.
