David Caldwell Obituary
Dave was born on March 25, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Clyde and Mildred (King) Caldwell. He was the youngest of four boys and a longtime member of Union Avenue Christian Church. Dave earned his Eagle Scout award at 16, and was active in Scouting for the majority of his life. Dave graduated from Missouri Valley College in 1965, and Christian Theological Seminary in 1967.
David had a 40 year career as a Disciples of Christ minister, serving four congregations in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia, and dedicated much time and energy toward the Christian Church Capital Area and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) more generally.
David is predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Kristina Joy Brinkman (1957-2019), and is survived by his sons Michael Gordon (wife Kara Voight) and John David McAllister (husband Rob Glass), as well as his granddaughter Julia Drew.
There will be a visitation on Friday, January 13, from 3:00-6:00 PM and a formal service on Saturday, January 14, at 10:30 AM at Christian Temple, 5820 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD 21228.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Boy Scout Troop 340's Caldwell Memorial Fund. If you would like to donate online, search "caldwell340" on PayPal. Alternatively, you may send a check made out to Troop 340, and note "Caldwell Memorial Fund' on the memo line. Checks may be mailed to: Troop 340, Attn: Bill Cowan, 625 Oak Farm Court, Timonium, MD 21093.

Such fond memories from Antioch Christian Church in Vienna. Our youth group was amazing and we had so much fun. And Dave was a great family friend and he married me twice! I loved church because of him. Prayers for the family!
