Away from work, Francis was a volunteer soccer coach for a decade supporting SAC's girls' soccer--neighborhood and travel teams. He served on the Board for the Columbia Swim Team and carried out a variety of volunteer roles during swim meets. He was a regular spectator at his grandchildren's sporting events and enjoyed attending Wilde Lake High football games long after his children had graduated. Frank and Joan were our next-door neighbors in Columbia, beginning with the Pioneer Dinner in 1967. We remained friends for 55 years. We have wonderful memories of our times together. We think of Frank as a kind and gentle soul. Our sincere condolences to the entire Kelso Family.
