Helga Klara Margareta Krautwurst Johnson

1927 - 2022

Helga Klara Margareta Krautwurst Johnson died peacefully in her sleep on January 13, 2022, at her home in Churchville, Maryland, where she lived with her beloved daughter Zella "Sunny" Sells. Helga was born on September 2, 1927, in Breslau, Germany. After coming to the United States and settling in Maryland in 1960, Helga lived in her Churchville home for 60 years. She loved crossword puzzles, daytime soap operas, cooking German food, dancing, swimming, animals and, of course, her family. Helga is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Johnson, Sr., her Grandson Anthony Franklin Perretti and her beloved son Willard "Butch) Franklin Johnson, Jr. She is survived in death by her daughters Zella Johnson Sells and Edda Johnson Gibson, her grandchildren Misty Lynn Johnson-Kothari (Chirag), Heidi May Hopton-Gorman (Tim), Katie Lynn Johnson-Seigel (Todd), Jamie Lynne Gibson-Winter (Rick), and Edward Henry Perretti-Sells (Julie), her brother Adolf Rudolph Scholz (Ulrike Ursula "Gitta"), her sister Ortrude "Otti" Renete Krautwrust Montgomery (John), her nieces Charlotte Ann Montgomery-Shaller (Gary) and Rikki Scholz, her nephew Kurt Juergen Scholz (Barbara), and her thirteen great grandchildren, Jovan Emani Brooks, Maddison May Gorman, Brandon James Gorman, Kennedy Elizabeth Seigel, Kaden James Winter, Tanner Holden Winter, Hudson Sawyer Winter, Angelina May Perretti, Serenity May Perretti, Jersey May Perretti, Anthony Franklin Perretti, Alexis Nicole Perretti, and Calli May Perretti.
