Tom was the kind of man words cannot describe. Tom was great man, teacher and the kind of person that would give you his last dime if you needed it. This world will not be the same without him. We will all miss him.

Tom was my beloved brothers in law.Barbara my sister and Tom driving us around to all the junk store or Roots or had us out picking some kind of fruit for canning was the.most fun we were together every day for about 3 or 4 years after he retired. I hatred when they moved to Florida I missed them so bad but we were blessed so much to get up and down the road to see each other at least once or twice a year they came up a lot and I got to go down a few times we always had the best times. Love you so MUCH Barb will always be here or there for you. But will be hard for me to with out him the laughing and fun playing games with him. Love you .

I would like to say I miss him terrible and just couldn't wait when our family heard that he was coming to Penna. We looked forward to seeing him and whoever he brought with him. He was always so happy to see us all. He would stay a few days then say he had to go home. He had a few things he had to do, but while he was here we enjoyed every minute to be with him. We went out to eat scratched lottery tickets we went to casinos horse races. He won six hundred dollars at the casino one time. He was so tickled kept saying I got my money back. ha ha My mom Elizabeth and my dad Earle was so happy to see him and whoever came. I can't say enough for him I will truly miss him. He was only about eight when I was born so He was like a big brother to me. He always looked out for me and my family. He has such a nice family, we would all get together at picnics or weddings. we all had such a good time together. He would come up to Penna and it would be his birthday. I made him a couple of times a white coconut cake for his birthday. I found out that was the cake his mother always made for birthdays and he loved coconut cake. Only thing he had to watch his sugar and couldn't eat to much of it. He and his brothers would come up every year for deer season. and usually one or two would take one home with them. Mom would cook the whole week for them and they could drink the beer, and tell their stories and they would bring their mother which was my Gramma. was so happy to see her too. Well I could go on and on and never get done telling all the fun times we had together. The most wonderful thing he did do was to see that his sister Elizabeth my mom was not going to go into any nursing home. He was staying to take care of her or I was going to live with her, which I did. two years three months. She lived that much longer after he came to help out. I want to say I will never forget him. And he was such a wonderful person. You had to watch and not make him mad because he had one hell of a temper when he got mad. but most of time he was a happy and loving person. his niece Shirley

Poppy Tom was the BEST! He had a heart of gold and a fun loving spirit. We always looked forward to our visits with him and Aunt Barb (and the rest of the family). He never failed to make us laugh or feel at home. His home was our home. Our dinner outings were the best. We can't pass a Golden Coral or Dairy Queen without thinking of him, LOL. His smile, his laughter and always a kind heart. He was truly one of a kind! I can't imagine Kylie Megan getting married without you Poppy Tom but I know you'll be there in spirit.

Tom was one of the best men i ever met. I worked with him at Green contracting for quite a few years. My father worked with him in the early years at green. Tom treated me like family and i worshipped him. When i was much younger i was working out of town with Tom and my wife called me and told that my dog died. Tom was there for me and constantly cheering me up. He even offered to drive me home but i stayed. When his son Willie died i was crushed and Tom comfort me then as well. When my father died who Tom knew very well. He was the one that came to me and hugged and told me if i need anything at all just let him know. Tom was my boss but i thought of him like family. Next to my dad i never cared for nor respected anyone as much as Tom. The last time he came back to Maryland, myself and a few of the older guys from green met him for lunch. When we were going to leave he told us how much he loved us. Tom we love you also, you are missed.
