He was such a perfect gentle man. My special memory is how fond my daughter Jennifer was of him. They always had the best conversations, could it have been politics? ? He is greatly missed.

Sending prayers and condolences to the family of John O'Brien. He was a man of integrity and was fair. He assisted my late father Eddie Tombs in securing a job as one of the few first African Americans at the State Highway Administration. He encouaged my Dad throughout the years. May his legacy live on forever.
