HANLON , Tyler Martin On September 24, 2011, TYLER MARTIN HANLON, passed away. Tyler was born on April 15, 1994. Tyler loved his family and we all adored him. Tyler and his Dad enjoyed long distance bike rides. He loved to ride while listening to his music on the NCR trail and on trips to Michigan and Kiawah Island. Tyler had a great sense of humor and could always make us laugh. Tyler used his great vocabulary to beat us all in games of Boggle and Bananas, sitting around his grandparents' kitchen table. Sweetie the cat was his favorite, but he was so gentle with animals and loved all the pets in our family. He enjoyed being outside and we all loved to kayak and hike together. Riding the waves at the beach was one of his favorite things to do and we made great trips every year to Florida, Lake Michigan, the Outer Banks and Kiawah Island. Tyler and Riley were the closest of siblings. The thrill of the Howling Tornado Ride at the water park is something they had just discovered and shared this summer. Tyler felt that his grandparents' house was his second home. His Nammy and Pop Pop were there for him every day. Tyler really enjoyed his Dad's great grilled creations of salmon, barbeque chicken and crabcakes. One of our favorite memories is Tyler polishing off 5 plates of king crab legs with Grandma Pat in Pawleys Island. Tyler shared his Mom's dark eyes and wry sense of humor. Tyler's parents Pete and Brandy treasured and loved him. Tyler's aunts Kim, Jaye and Kathleen always told him that he was the son they never had. He was a wonderful brother, son, grandson, nephew and cousin. His sister Riley, his parents Peter and Brandy, his grandparents Martin and Jean Tullai and the late Francis and Patricia Hanlon and his aunts and uncles, the late Uncle Frank and Aunt Marie, Kathleen and Peter, Jaye, Kim and John, Elizabeth, Lisa and David and Fran and Kim, cousins Summer, Yvonne, Jeff, Lindsay, Daniel, Frankie, Brandon and Luke will always love him and he will live with them forever in their hearts. His bright spirit left us way too soon and Tyler will always be with us.
Friends may call at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, on Wednesday, September 28, from 6 to 9 PM, 1050 York Road, Beltway Ext 26. The family will have a private service for Tyler on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tyler's name may be made to Defenders of Animal Rights, Inc., 14412 Old York Road, Phoenix, MD 21131.
