Gail McDonald Obituary

Gail Gilkison McDonald of Pearland, Texas entered into eternal rest with Jesus Christ her Savior and Lord on May 31, 2012 in Webster Texas at the age of 70. She was born on November 2, 1941, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Herbert Joseph "Mac" McDonald and Bettie Ruth Gilkison McDonald. Gail was the oldest of four children. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Mac & Bettie McDonald of Pearland Texas (formally of Baton Rouge, Louisiana) and her sister, Robbie Wiley McDonald Carpenter, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She is survived by her brother Craig Boliver McDonald and wife Donna of Spring, Texas and sister, Cary Ellen McDonald and husband Jesse Bowman of Pearland, Texas. She was the loving Aunt of Janna Lee McDonald Vipperman and husband Eric, Wiley Boone McDonald and wife Jamie, Kelly Schull McDonald, and Bettie Dru Jessica Bowman. She was the great aunt of Morgan Leigh Vipperman, Gabriel Malik, Jacob Wyatt, and Elaina Rose McDonald.

Gail was a collector, an artist, a craftsman, and entrepreneur. She loved people and always enjoyed helping others. She was quick to laugh, quickly to serve, and quick to befriend any stranger or person in need. Gail was a member of New Hope Church and loved to volunteer to meet and greet people. Her smile welcomed everyone. Gail's loving shoes will be hard to fill; she will be missed by all her family and friends.
