Ronda A. Murphy, 52

MILFORD - Ronda A. Murphy, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 52. Ronda was born on April 26, 1957 in Portsmouth, Va., daughter of Roland J. and Georgiana L. (Bailey) Murphy. She graduated from the Marley Glen School in Glen Burnie, Maryland after 13 years in special education. Despite the challenge of her life long disabilities, Ronda found great contentment in her everyday activities at home with her family and with her church family. Many friends and family were grateful recipients of her love for creating distinctive beaded necklaces. Ronda was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Milford. She is survived by her parents, Roland J. and Georgiana L. Murphy of Milford; a brother and sister-in-law, Roland G. and Robin Murphy of Manheim, PA; a sister and brother-in-law, Debora L. and Wayne L. Jacobs of York, PA; two nieces, Leah VanAulen and Danielle Murphy and a nephew, Roland M. Murphy. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Avenue. Burial was held at Barratts Chapel Cemetery in Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 509 Airport Rd, Milford, DE, 19963.
