Juliette Hagist Obituary
Our beloved Juliette Hagist passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 after a quick but mighty fight with cancer. Although her illness was unknown to everyone, she approached her fight the way she approached her life - head on and determined to live her last days on her own terms.
Born in St. Louis in a year that shall remain undisclosed (she was never quick to reveal her age) as Juliette Assaf, those who knew her best knew her as Julie. But her favorite name would always be "Titi" which was the name she was called by her nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A proud member of the Atlantic Beach community for more than 60 years and a successful business owner of Sunnyland Laundry for more than 30 years, Juliette was a well-known staple at the beach and prided herself on being able to give back to those who shared her love for her community. She loved everything about the beach and enjoyed sharing that love with her children, family and friends. She had an incredibly green thumb and loved being able to create an abundant and thriving oasis anywhere she lived, not only for herself, but to help brighten the day of those living around her as well.
Juliette is survived by sister Karen with daughters Kerry, Jennifer and Tiffany; daughter and son-in-law Tina and David with granddaughter and husband Kristen and Bryan and great granddaughter Reagan, grandson and fiancé Jordan and Isabel, and grandson and wife Zach and Mahni; son Bobby with grandson and partner Jonathan and Holly; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Dan with grandson Jarrod and great grandchildren Chandler, Grace and Conner, grandson and wife Stephen and Hannah and great grandchildren Layne and Hunter, and grandson and spouse David and Brittany and great grandson Lawson; son Mark; son and daughter-in-law Chris and Angie with granddaughters Addie and Delaney; and so many additional family members and friends who were like family who are too numerous to name.
A Celebration of Life will be held in April 2023 with more details to follow as the time gets nearer. In the meantime, continued thoughts and prayers would be appreciated as her family and friends continue to grieve such a monumental loss for any and all who knew her.
