Troy Coleman Sr.

Troy Coleman, Sr., 71, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center, Liberty. He was born on August 8, 1941, to Ruth Wilson Coleman and Jesse Eugene Coleman, in Beaumont. Troy was a retired Information Systems Manager for ExxonMobil Company. Troy was full of life and loved every moment with his wife and dogs. He also enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandson playing golf, hunting, and fishing. He was adored and admired by his granddaughter who felt his unwavering support daily. Troy was a devoted husband, a loving father, and grandfather who watched over his family with unconditional love and pride. He encouraged them to make their own mistakes and was the first one there to catch them if they fell too hard. He left a lasting impression on all that knew him. Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Sherrill Coleman of Lumberton; sons, Troy Coleman, Jr. of Kingwood and Tod Coleman and his wife, Marilee, of Lake Jackson; grandchildren, Andy Thomas and his wife, Lindsey, of The Woodlands and Cassie Coleman of Lake Jackson; and brother, Jesse Coleman and his family of Fort Worth. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kristi. A gathering of Mr. Coleman's family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m. with his memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2012, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
