Barbara Good Obituary
Barbara Jean "Jeannie" Good, nee Ducksworth, 69, of East St. Louis, Ill., born Sept. 6, 1937, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Rosewood Care Center, Swansea, Ill.
Mrs. Good was a devoted mother, sister and aunt, a faithful friend and worker. In addition to working full time for more than 20 years for the former Primo Pants Co., in St. Louis, Mo., she worked for more than 20 years at Busch Stadium, for Sportservice, during each baseball season. Her final season saw the St. Louis Cardinals take the 2006 World Series Championship. Jeannie enjoyed being around the baseball fans and her co-workers as much as she enjoyed being around her own family. She will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Henrietta, nee Powell, Ducksworth Jr.
Surviving are her son, Vernard Good of Lompoc, Calif.; and seven siblings, Carolyn A. (Eddie) Cook Sr., of East St. Louis, Ill., Janet M. Williams of Belleville, Ill., Erickson L. (Carolyn) Ducksworth Sr., of East St. Louis, Ill., Muriel E. (Michael) Williams Sr., of Cahokia, Ill., and Pamela L. Ducksworth, Denise D. Ducksworth and Daryl H. Ducksworth, all of East St. Louis, Ill.
Visitation: Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2007, and from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, July 2, 2007, at M.E. Officer & Sons Mortuary, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: A Funeral Service will be held at noon Monday, July 2, 2007, at M.E. Officer & Sons Mortuary, Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. Thomas Hood officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Gardens of Memory, Millstadt, Ill.
