Doris Firpo Obituary
Doris M. Firpo, nee Leezy, 79, of New Baden, Ill., formerly of East St. Louis, Ill., born Jan. 31, 1926, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Clinton Manor Living Center, New Baden, Ill.
Mrs. Firpo was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, New Baden, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Firpo; and her parents, Clyde and Cecelia Leezy.
Surviving are her seven children, Bobby (Debbie) Robinette of Missouri, Norma Peek of Georgia, Ronald (Sherri) Bone of Illinois, Kenneth Bone of Florida, Dwen Firpo of Tennessee, Irwin (Pamela) Firpo of Tennessee and Debra Ogden of Illinois; 24 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray (Helen) Leezy of Illinois, and Richard (Melba) Leezy of Illinois; two sisters, Helen Steinhauer of Texas and Pearl Matt of Illinois; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation: Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with the Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
