Memories and Condolences
for Jason Brooks

Not sure what to say?

E. B. Harrington

To Mrs. Brooks and Family,

We extend our deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Jason was the type of friend who, no matter how long you had been away, he would pick up where you left off. I remember meeting you at CM, and we learned that we were both from the East Side! Then we discovered your mom was my 1st Grade teacher - Monroe Elementary. In February, my wife and I came to St. Louis, and we actually got a chance to visit with him twice. Who knew?

We really enjoyed ourselves. In fact, our time together was the highlight of Superbowl Weekend. We will cherish the memories, pictures and video of you singing Bob Marley's Jammin' at karaoke. We will never forget how you kept us laughing.

Words cannot express how tragic your loss has been. Our hope is in God and His Promises. May the Brooks Family draw comfort and strength from His Word.

Rest In Peace Boogie,

E. Bernard and Shana Harrington

I had the pleasure to know Jason when we were young and reconnected with him through working as a DJ. Jason was well liked by everyone I knew. He always had that big smile and would be overly excited when greeting you. I will never forget him.

It is with sadness and deep heartache that we are so sorry to hear of the tragic passing of Jason. Our children, Alicia & Leon II played together in the Hilltop neighborhood, as well as attended Zion Lutheran School and Althoff. Alicia and Jason were classmates from Kindergarten through High School Graduation. It's memories of your Dad and I in our cars waiting on the parking lot for the kids to get out of school that take me back almost 25 years. Our hearts go out to you and your entire family and know that even though we all currently live miles apart we are thinking and praying for you during these sorrowful times. Words seem inadequate to express our sympathy, but earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. Let your abiding faith in the Lord comfort and give you peace.

J-Boogy was one of the nicest and most genuine people I have gotten the pleasure of knowing. It is tragic we lost you this way, but I will always remember you for the man who gave me his shirt when I had ruined mine. A fantastic man. You will be missed.

Dear Jeannie, One of the Zion students who grew up with your sons told me about Jason. Your sons, their education, raising them to know and love Jesus as their Savior was always your priority. My heart breaks for you, Barry, and the rest of your family. Know that you are in my prayers and will be in the days, months and years to come. May God embrace you with love and courage as I know the love of Jesus embraced Jason.

One of the kindest people I had the pleasure of knowing. We was one of the greatest friends a guy could have. He never talked bad about you, was there for you when you needed him and would never go behind your back. He made sure his friends stayed on touch. He was all about everyone getting together and staying in touch. I have never had someone this close have this happen and it pains me that it's such a good person. My thoughts and prayers our with Jason''s family and friends who he held so dear. I will miss him for sure. But, I know he's looking down and watching us all havin a grand time with Bob Marley, 2Pac and all the other artists he loved so much.

My heartfelt condolences to Jason's family and friends. Like others here, I had the pleasure of knowing Jason through our DJ work.

I remember the fun times sharing stories after our shows and ribbing each other or fellow DJs, always in good fun. He was quick-witted and so funny!

I'm so sorry to hear this news. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

The last time I saw Jason was Friday evening. He came over as a surprise to celebrate my husband's birthday. I'll remember the laughs and conversations we had that evening. He was always respectful, spoke highly of his mother, and gave glory to God. My husband, Wes, and I are devastated by this loss. Wes says he didn't just lose a best friend he lost a brother. They would say they were brothers of the heart. Our heartfelt condolences to the family.

I cannot find the words to express my sadness with regard to Jason's passing. His positivity always energized a room. The loss of such a vibrant, funny, good natured and dapper young man has come entirely too early. My thoughts and prayers are with Jason's closest friends and family. #ACHSCLASSOF92

My heart is aching... As I think back on our years together in high school, I honestly cannot remember a time Jason was not smiling, joking, laughing, or spreading a kind word. He was one of the sharpest dressed men I knew at that time. It was who he be!! I ran into him in more recent years and was greeted the same way. For this is the way the ACHS class of 92 will always remember him. I know not of the struggles he faced, but pray that he is as happy as my memories envision him. My prayers and hugs are with his family and close friends for I can only imagine their grief knowing how I have been feeling these past hours since hearing this tragic news.

I am sickened to hear what happened to Jason. We just talked on Friday I am in total shock. Jason was the most positive person I have ever met. Always a smile always a kind word I thank God that I was granted the opportunity to know him. To his mother I am so sorry for your loss and I am praying for you and your family.
