John Falbe Obituary
John N. Falbe Jr., 85, of Kansas City, Mo., born Nov. 30, 1930, in Belleville, Ill., died Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo.
John attended St. Mary's Elementary, Cathedral High School and Belleville Community College. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and was employed by Westinghouse Electric Supply in St. Louis, Mo., Memphis, Tenn., and Kansas City, Mo., and later was employed by Nationwide Paper, from where he retired after 27 years of service.
For many years he was active with the Johnson County youth football program, coaching and working with the organization. He was an avid golfer and after retirement worked as a volunteer marshal at the Overland Park Golf Club for 20 years. He also volunteered at Catholic Charities and the Johnson County Library.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Teresa Falbe; two sisters; and two brothers.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, LuAnn; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Melanie; grandchildren, Jessica (Brent) Nixon, Jamie, Jillian and Joshua; a great-grandson, Miles Nixon; a sister, Loretta (Francis) Gross of O'Fallon, Ill. and his brother, Lorraine (Gloria) of Granite City, Ill.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday, Jun 10, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 8311 W. 93rd St., Overland Park, Kan.
Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10. 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church.

RIP, John. I know John only through the Overland Park Golf Course where John was fixture for as long as I remember. He was always positive in attitude, helpful as a volunteer. He was always extremely proud of his twin granddaughters who were employees at OP for many years. He wouldn't mention them, but if someone else brought it up he would proudly beam about their many accomplishments. Sadly missed.
