Shocked and saddened to learn of Scot's passing.
He and I were at SIUC at the same time, and in the same fraternity, Theta Xi. In fact, he was the very first Theta Xi I met. He was on that bridge between the Towers and the campus, passing out flyers to a Rush Week party.
Best memory was working with him on the Theta Xi Variety Show (the one where we mashed up SNL and fairytale characters; 1989-90?), and he played an "overly-flamboyant" stage director.
Several years after college, Scot was doing an improv thing. I got to go on stage with him once, and I even made the logo for his troupe, "The Dead Parrots."
Peace and strength go out to his family, especially to his son, Zack, who I first met when he was about 2 years old. I did a Christmas card photo of him "stealing Santa's cookies" for Scot and Pam.
