To Jeremy's family...I was an online friend of Jeremy's for the past year or so. I was deeply saddened to read of his passing. He was always a generous, caring individual and I was proud to call him my friend. My prayers are with you all during this time.

For six years Scully has coached me not only in pole vaulting, but in life. Now I feel almost lost on the runway, and it will be hard to continue without him, but I know that is he would have wanted me to do. Every jump i take I can still hear him coaching me, and I will cherish what he has given me for the rest of my life. I love you Scully, and I miss you. Someday, I know, I will be your number one vaulter.

Jeremy gave our son support, encouragement, understanding, and friendship when he was a vaulter at Western. He was so gracious to us as parents - and a very sincere person. Many people will miss him - We are so sorry for your loss.

To the family of Jeremy,
There just aren't enough words to express how very sorry we are to hear of your loss. I (Carol) remember meeting Jeremy in the middle 1980's. He was such a nice young man. I know how much he was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Please accept our very deepest sympathy. Our prayers go out to all of you and know that God is with you during this very difficult time.
Love, Galen and Carol Russell

This is for Jeremy's family: These words simply cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I remember the first time I met your little brother, Michelle. It was September of 1986 and you were so proud. Anyone could see why. He fit the image of the handsome, curly-haired, fun, loving, Jeremy you had always described in your comical, heart-warming stories you shared with me over the years. I could feel his spirit fill a room with laughter, love, and kindness just like it filled your heart whenever you spoke of him. I pray that Jeremy will be with all of you in spirit to fill your hearts with love, laughter and kindness as he always did. Forever.

All my love and deepest sympathy,
Sherri

Jeremy was a blessing in my life. He would give his shirt off his back if he knew you needed one.. I know I am not going to be the only one missing him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, the friends, and to his students...

More tears were shed Friday when our math classes wrote messages to Mr Scully's family. We will miss him at Ferndale High. Jeremy had a long-term assignment to team teach in my math classes. I enjoyed working with him; the students liked and respected Scully. What a tragic loss. Thank you for the memorial fund donated to the track program; it's the best way to honor Jeremy's memory.

Jeremy was a wonderful person. I knew him both personally and professionally. It's still very hard to believe any of this is happening. We will miss him greatly.
