Robert Eddy

Robert "Bob" Eddy Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Ferndale on Monday, July 3rd 2017. He was 82. Robert was born February 27th 1935 in Grass Valley, Ca. to Robert K. Eddy and Dorothy M. Sallenger Eddy. Following graduation from high school in Turlock, Ca. Robert enrolled in the Air Force and was assigned to many different posts as a Photo Interpretation Specialist. Honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1961 he began a career with Southern Ca. Gas Company. Realizing his passion still involved photography Robert and his wife Lise-lott decided to move to Washington and opened their own camera repair and accessory shop in Bellingham which remained open until 1990. Robert's store was, at the time, the only photographic equipment repair store north of Seattle and Robert took great pride in his career and always exuded an aura of professionalism and integrity which he passed along to his siblings throughout the years. During his younger years Robert enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing, camping and has always been an avid reader of books. Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years Lise-lott Eddy of Bellingham, WA, Brother Jack (Carol) W. Eddy of Phoenix, AZ, Daughter Annika (Andrew) McGinley of Brisbane, AU, Son Robert (Karen) J. Eddy Jr. of Ferndale, WA, Son Erik (Kelly) K. Eddy of Custer, WA, five grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Patrick, Amanda (Franco) , Ellyssa and Maggie. One Niece; Tari and two Nephews; Jim and David. Robert's constant endeavor to enlighten our self-worth and compassion towards all others has made us all better people and his insight and presence will be sorely missed by all who had the opportunity to be close to him.
