Mary Forrest Norris

1941 - 2022

Mary Forrest Norris, 81, a longtime resident of Bennington, VT died Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Exeter Hospital in Exeter, New Hampshire surrounded by her family.

She was born in Bennington, VT July 1, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Charles W. Forrest and Delphine (Betit) Forrest. Mary received her education in Bennington and was a 1959 graduate of Bennington Catholic High School. Following high school, Mary attended St. Joseph's Business College.

For three years Mary worked for the Department of the United States Navy. She then moved to Raleigh, NC where she began raising her family and later moved to Charleston, SC where she lived for thirteen years before returning to Bennington.

In 1984, Mary started working for ChemFab in North Bennington. While working at ChemFab the business was sold to St. Gobain, the company Mary continued to work for as a customer service manager until she retired in 2006.

Mary enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime member of the Mount Anthony Country Club.

Survivors include her children, Julie Bilbrey and her husband Robby of Huntsville, AL, Brent Norris and his wife Tracey of Raymond, NH and Joanna Norris of Parkland, FL. Eight grandchildren, Joshua, Justin and Maryssa Sanchez, Garrett, and Connor Norris, Jenna Philbrick and her husband Travis, Carter Mell and his wife Maggie and Lauren Mell. A great granddaughter Myah Philbrick. A brother, Regis Forrest and his wife Doris of Freehold, NJ. A niece, Lori Forrest and her husband Bob Leahy and a nephew, David Forrest and his wife Dru.

The funeral mass will be held at the convenience of the family at a time to be announced.

The burial will follow in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery.
