LENOX -- Bartholomew D. Barry Jr., 85, of 29 Big Wood Drive, died Monday at his daughter's Westfield home after a short illness.

Barbara & Family, We Cains have such fond memories of all of you. We will never forget how Bart was there for our Mother when our Father passed on. He will always have a special place in our hearts.

To the Barry boys and Kathy (my favorite - sorry guys!),

I was very saddened to find out about your dad's passing. Now we're all orphans! A ton of fond memories - I think Bart always kept a jaundiced eye on me and suspected that I was up to something. Of course I always towed the line, at least that's what I wanted him to believe. Later on he let me in on his secret - he was never fooled!!! I'll never forget the time he had to get the Gray Ghost inspected in the the final hour of the final day. Quite an event in the neighborhood. I never saw you guys move so fast or furious. Being so soft spoken, when he did raise his voice everyone ran for cover. Then there were the street picnics and our parents' parties. I remember your father showing up late at Millie & Stu's 50th surprise party at the Willow Glen and very nearly blowing the surprise. I was nervous and talking fast while trying to creat a diversion: Bart just grinned that grin of his at me with the those twinkling eyes of his as if to say, "It's just pay back time, Pete!".

Unfortunately I cannot make the service on Friday as I have a commitment on the other end of the state that I must attend to, however I will be there in spirit and prayers. And, this old Protestant will even throw in a Hail Mary or two just for good measure!

God Bless all of you. I really miss you guys. And, don't think for a second that Stu wasn't up there (now, there's an assumption) with Barb and Millie waiting for Bart with a scotch and a song. A fairly reliable source, who at the time was mostly sober, once told me that they do have ukeleles in Heaven.

John and the staff at Performance Automotive are deeply saddened to hear that Bart has passed away. He was a loyal customer and enjoyed his SAAB Taledaga. He will be missed. Please know that we are sorry for your loss.
