Patricia Lester Obituary

Mrs. Patricia "Patsy" A. Lester, of Pittsfield, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, just three days shy of celebrating her 84th birthday. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on December 28, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Rose Russo Shea, she graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 1956.

Patricia was employed by General Electric/General Dynamics, starting her career as a keypunch operator in 1956. She worked her way up the ladder finishing her career as The Executive Secretary to the company's president. She was a dedicated employee for 43 years until her retirement 1999.

Among many things, she enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. She also had a passion for cooking. Her favorite thing to do was to bring family and friends together for the holidays. No one was to be alone at Christmas time--everyone was always welcome at Patsy's house. She would cook enough food to feed a small army and there was always room to squeeze an extra plate at the dinner table. She prided herself on tradition and perfecting the Italian recipes that were handed down from generation to generation. The Aunts would be so proud! She also made the best apple pie!

Patricia is survived by her husband, Lee E. Lester, whom she married November 7, 1959. The loving couple just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.

She leaves behind her three sons, Mark Lester, Paul Lester (Pamela), and John Lester and one daughter, Donna Boschetti. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several cousins and in-laws that she held near and dear to her heart.

Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her beloved sister, Carole LeClair.
