Robert Owen Krull

Robert Owen Krull 1932 2008 ADAMS Robert Owen Krull, 76, of 96 ½ Orchard Street, died on Tuesday Nov. 4, 2008, at Sweet Brook Care Center, Williamstown. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on Jan. 4, 1932, son of the late William and Kathryn (Bador) Krull. He attended schools in Youngstown until moving to North Adams with his family as a teenager. He graduated from Drury High School and later received his Bachelors Degree in Engineering from the former North Adams State College. Mr. Krull was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict having served with the United States Army until his Honorable Discharge as corporal on Nov. 5, 1954. Mr. Krull worked for several years in the Naval Ordnance Division of the General Electric Co., Pittsfield. In his younger years he had worked as a ski instructor for Eastover Resort, Lenox. He was a member of the Adams Post 160 American Legion, the G.E. Pensioners, and the G.E. Quarter Century Club. He leaves his wife the former Arlein E. Johnson, whom he married on Jan. 28, 1967;a stepdaughter, Cindi Cahill of East Hartland, Conn.; a grandson, Jonathan Cahill of North Hollywood, Cail; two sisters, Audrey Giroux and Bonnie Mills, and several nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be on Thursday Nov. 13, at 5:30PM in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac Street, Adams. Calling hours are Thursday from 3:00PM until the time of the service. Burial will take place on Friday Nov. 14, at 11:00AM in the East Hartland Cemetery, East Hartland, Conn. Memorial donations may be made to Elder Services Meals on Wheels Program through the funeral home.
