Antonio Martinez Obituary

Antonio "Junio" Martinez Jr., 61, passed on Monday, July 18, 2022, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Mount Olive Cemetery.
Junio was born on October 14, 1960 in Big Spring, Texas, to Dolorez and Antonio Martinez Sr. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and a Catholic.
He loved to collect John Deere things. He loved to spend time with his family especially barbecues and fishing with them. He loved to hang with the guys, the "Wangos." He had a soft spot for his kids and he was the most giving, caring person; he'd help anyone in need.
Junio is survived by his wife, Sylvia Martinez; four daughters, Janel Paredez (Jimi), Crystal Young (Xavian), Toni Lynn Martinez (Matt Crus), and Kassandra Martinez; one son, Anthony Martinez; his father, Antonio Martinez Sr.; 13 grandbabies and one on the way; eight brothers and sisters, Erlinda Casas (Angel), Jimmy Martinez (Lori), Anita Martinez, Sally Martinez, Ricky Martinez, Rose Garcia, Richard Martinez (Julie Padron), Avrora Rios (Danny Sano); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
