James Dick Obituary

James Dick passed away in his home surrounded by his family on the evening of Feb. 5, 2014. James was born to father James William Dick and mother Mary Katherine Schaefer on Jan. 2, 1935, in Billings. His mother passed away when he was 5 years old and he was taken in by his aunt, Maggie Castor. He was raised in Worden where he attended Huntley Project School.

As a young man, James enjoyed going out dancing and playing cards with his friends. Later on in life his joy came from having BBQ's and picnics with his family. He met the love of his life, Ardella Mae Kraft, and they married in 1970.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father; his sisters Rose, Helen, and Clara; and his brothers Roger and Earnest.

James is survived by his wife Ardella; sister Mary (Ray) Cattaneo; daughter Sharyl (Jim) Zahn; sons Roger Dick, Rodney (Tina) Dick, and Todd Dick. He has nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at the Cremation & Funeral Gallery 29 8th Street West in Billings on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m.

Memorials may be made in his name to Riverstone Hospice, Boys & Girls Club of Montana, or any charity of your choice.

Arrangements are by Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.cfgbillings.com through "Our Families."
