Lucas (Luke) Samuel Lapito
LAS VEGAS, NV - In loving memory of Luke Lapito. He was born September 22, 1978. He was the first born son to his proud parents, Leo and Sue Lapito. Luke went to be with the Lord on Dec. 17, 2023 at 45 yrs old.
Luke attended McKinley and Highland Elementary schools followed by Lewis & Clark Middle School. He then attended Billings Central Catholic Highschool and graduated from Bishop Gorman Highschool in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1997. Luke played Legion baseball with the Billings Scarlets, College baseball at Cumberland University, then transferred to the Community College of Nevada. For his junior and senior years of college, he attended Midland Lutheran in Nebraska.
He graduated with a degree in accounting and became a senior accountant at Ovation - a property management firm in Las Vegas, NV - where he was working at the time of his passing.
Luke married Tenille Schnepp-Lapito, his best friend until the end, and had two wonderful sons, Cayson (16) and Xavier (14). His boys were the pride and joy of his life. He often said that the proudest moments in life are not your own successes but those times you get to see your kids succeed. There was never a conversation that went by without him expressing his love for his boys. His joy was watching them grow up into amazing young men succeeding in whatever they chose to do.
Anybody that came across Luke's path loved him as he was-social, kind and empathetic. He would always make sure everyone around him was happy. Luke also loved to have a good time, no matter who he was with. He loved to talk sports of any kind and it seemed to always lead to conversations about life. Of course, his favorite was watching his boys in activities, but any opportunity to watch or talk sports, he was in. Luke knew stats about all different sports and would challenge anyone to know the same.
Luke gave his life to the Lord and was baptized at a young age. That foundation kept his faith active into adulthood as he had a huge heart for loving people. Now he at peace in his eternal home talking sports with Grandpa Bob, one of his favorites.
Luke is survived by his best friend Tenille, his sons Cayson and Xavier of Henderson, NV, his parents Sue and Leo Lapito, his siblings Marcia (Tommy) Roberts, Gabe (Brandi) Lapito, and Lucy (Derek) Aspinwall all of Billings, MT. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Luke, you will be deeply missed by all of us!
Celebration of life will be Saturday April 13, 2024 at 11am at Faith Chapel in Billings MT.
