Adeline Chadwick
Adeline V. Chadwick, 83, Fargo, died March 6, 2009, in MeritCare Palliative Care, Fargo.
Adeline Viola Fraase was born Dec. 4, 1925, in Venlo, to Fred and Elizabeth (Bucholtz) Fraase. She grew up and attended school in Freda. Adeline married Chuck F. Chadwick on Dec. 10, 1942, and they lived in Bismarck, and various other North Dakota communities before settling in Dilworth, Minn., where they raised their family. She worked as a waitress at the Pheasant Cafe in Fargo. They retired in Louisburg, Mo. On Feb. 22, 1990, Adeline received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Her husband, Chuck, died Nov. 8, 1996. She returned to Fargo, where she was the "Lunch Room Lady" at Washington School for the past 10 years.
Adeline is survived by two sons, Rhinney (Joanne) Chadwick, Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Charlie "Chuck" (Patricia) Chadwick, Fargo; one daughter-in-law, Sandie (Leo) Thomas, Velva; one brother, Roger (Sharlene) Fraase, Dickinson; her sisters, Elaine (Kasper) Laches, Mott, Ina (Glenn) Udell, Carson, and Alice (Frank) Fischer, Carson; her sisters-in-law, Betty Fraase, Moorhead, and Mercy Fraase, Spokane, Wash.; eight grandchildren, Kimberly (Pat) Quade, Lincoln, Neb., Kara Chadwick, Moscow, Idaho, Kelly Chadwick, Fargo, Mike (Dawn) Chadwick, West Fargo, Heather Chadwick, Bangkok, Thailand (Peace Corps), Tarri (Cliff) Wenstad, Mohall, Crystal (Scott Shorb) Chadwick, Minot, and Erik (Melissa) Chadwick, Froid, Mont.; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Elizabeth Fraase; her brothers, Fred Fraase Jr. and Ronald Fraase; her husband, Chuck F. Chadwick; and her son, Harold Chadwick.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 9, at Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, Fargo. Interment will be tentatively Tuesday in the North Dakota State Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Check

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, Minn., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
