Margo was born June 7, 1952, in Mandan to George and Florence (Boehm) Kopp. She graduated from Mandan High School. On Dec. 21, 1971, she married James Teske in Steele. They had four children together. A strong and dedicated woman, Margo worked in construction at the North Dakota State Highway Department and Big Valley Gravel. On March 24, 1995, she married Andrew Stroh in Mandan.
Margo will best be remembered for her wonderful sense of hospitality and generous welcoming heart. She shared her cooking and conversation with all who visited her home. A wonderful and captivating story teller, Margo enjoyed reminiscing of past events with fond memories of her father. Once she learned to text message, her conversations were continued, often sending messages at 4 a.m. A wonderful sense of humor, she liked to joke and would give her opinion right up front. Margo always loved Christmas, enjoying it all year long by keeping her lights up. Also, the Fourth of July and watching her grandchildren's reactions to fireworks brought her great joy. A talented baker, Margo baked and decorated cakes for many years. She also liked to sew, knit, deal blackjack and tend to her flower gardens. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and Margo treasured the times they shared. Margo had a strong sense of faith, saying daily prayers and enjoyed doing volunteer work at her church.
Left with fond memories are two daughters, Alicia Teske, Bismarck, and Jan Teske, Mandan; three sons, Mike Teske (special friend and fiancee, Shannon Schauer) and George (Jodi) Teske, both of Mandan, and Richard Teske, Milwaukee; 15 grandchildren; her mother, Florence Kopp, Mandan; two sisters, Brenda (Doug) Peterson and Cindy (Kelly) Nickel, all of Mandan; four brothers, Kelly (Judy) Kopp, Kelvin Kopp, Tom (Sonya) Kopp and Greg Kopp, all of Mandan; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and a special godson, Jimmy Nickel.
Margo was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents, Stanley and Caroline Kopp and Jacob and Katherine Boehm; and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Kopp.
