Nettie Monroe, 89, Bismarck, passed away Dec. 2, 2017, at Sanford Health, Bismarck, after a short illness.
Family will greet guests from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck.
Cremation has taken place.
Nettie was a longtime resident of Bismarck and graduated from Mandan High School in 1947. She was married to Orlando Monroe for 58 years. Nettie worked for Associated General Contractors and worked in the legislature's bill and journal room at the State Capitol. She was a kind, caring, and loving person.
Nettie is survived by her daughter, Linda Oblander; son, Gary Monroe; daughter-in-law, Constance Monroe; and sister, Sister Denise of the Annunciation Priory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlando W. Monroe; and an infant son, Lee Clare Monroe.
