Thomas Eugene "Tommy" Wilson

BREVARD-Thomas Eugene "Tommy" Wilson, 72, of Brevard, NC and Bainbridge Island, WA died September 12, 2015 at home.
A native of Transylvania County, he was the son of the late, Eugene George and Virginia Dare Bryson Wilson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; younger brother, Mark E. Wilson, and his wife of 41 years, Carmen Silva Wilson.
Surviving are his sons, Ryan T. Wilson, wife Kristina and grandsons Mason and Kaleb; Shane E. Wilson and granddaughter Rhiannon, and daughter, Tara M. Wilson all of Bainbridge Island, WA; sister, Barbara W. Brubaker, husband Kay of Etowah, NC and classmate, loving friend, and copilot, Poo Cabe of Brevard, NC.
Tom attended Brevard College and Syracuse University receiving his BS in Chemistry. He enlisted as an officer in the US Air Force serving in Turkey as a Munitions Officer, retiring as Captain after 4 years. He earned a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from West Virginia University in Morganton. He began his career with the EPA in Washington, DC traveling throughout the US accepting transfers and presenting EPA policy.
He retired from the EPA as Chief of the Water Division for Oregon, Alaska, Washington, and Idaho.
Family and friends are invited to a wake celebrating the life of Tom "Tommy" Wilson Sunday October 4th, from 2:00- 5:00pm in the meeting room of the United Community Bank at Straus Park in Brevard, NC.
