Marie Deuschle Obituary

Marie Deuschle passed away at Marymount Nursing Home,?Eureka, Mo. on Sunday, August 9, 2015. She was born on August 31, 1916 outside of Boonville, Mo. Marie was the last surviving sibling of six children born to Anna Stegner and Fred Deuschle. In 1941 she graduated from the Jewish School of Nursing in St. Louis. In 1944 she volunteered for military service serving in the Philippines from 1945-1946. She had quite an adventure for a young woman from?Boonville High School (1934). She worked for 30 years for plastic surgeons in?St. Louis. She was a long standing member of the Holy?Ghost United?Church of Christ, St. Louis, which has since disbanded. Her last years were filled with dementia and depression. Yet, Marie was a gallant survivor living just three weeks shy of her 99th birthday.
Marie is survived by nephews David Bryan (Joyce), Jack Deuschle (Connie)?Robert Earl Deuschle (Joan) Hank Deuschle (Julie), and niece Anna Bryan Morris (Sammy) and other great-nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. Many thanks to the staff of Marymount Nursing Home. She will be missed.
Marie donated her body to Washington?University School of Medicine. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date. Memorials in her name may be sent to St. John's United Church of Christ, 14191 Billingsville Rd.,?Boonville, MO 65233, or to a charity of your choice.
