I went to Alfredo's Barber Shop today and heard the news! Over the years we shared laughs, recipies, home-made foods, mushroom hunting and were due for another dinner together. Lamb was his choice.
I will miss his positive outlook even in the direst circumstances (he would ask about my son's health before anything else could occur).
We shared birthday day and will sure remember Alfredo every January 3rd.

I never knew a better man than Alfredo. I will miss him every time I laugh, every time I hear men standing up for what is right and every time I consider the true values of life. I brought him coffee every time I visited only to have him argue that he should pay. I never let him, as I respected him so. A dear, dear man. My condolences go to his wife and family.

Alfredo cut my hair for over 25 years. I considered him to be a friend and I will miss him. Despite the fact that we had oppostie political views I always looked forward to my visits and to enjoy the banter and humor. The following passage has given me comfort in times like this and I hope it does the same for Alfredo's family:
May your heart find consolation
in the promise of Christ, our Savior
That there is another place,
- beyond imagination –
Where we meet our loved ones again;
…. for the bond of love is eternal.

Alfredo, you were the epitome of a great barber. A sympathetic listener, sharing funny observations about life and a giver of sage advice.
25 years of laughs won't be forgotten.
God bless you and your family.

I give thanks for knowing you. For all the years you cut my hair and made me laugh, then through your illness, you kept your humor.
I enjoyed meeting the family when they came to pick you up recently. You were loved, and you will be missed.
