Rest In Piece Gus. Although I had not seen you in many years I still have many memories of you from when I was a kid and you guys lived up stairs at my grandfathers house.

Carmen, Leo , Ronnie, Gus, Jr. and all family members, please accept my most sincere condolences on the passing of Gus. I will be unable to attend Gus's proceedings but I want you all to know that I would not be sitting in Washington, DC working for the VFW, an organization that he loved and led without his support. He gave me my very first appointment that started me on this road. I never failed to thank him or recognize him for that whenever I could. It goes without saying that Gus loved his family, especially his beautiful wife Carmen. He served his country and our great organization to the best of his ability. I pray that the Lord bring comfort to all during this time of need.
