BENJAMIN MANZON

1989 - 2024

MANZON, Benjamin Ben was born in Seoul, South Korea, on December 13, 1989 and arrived home to Waltham, MA, on April 27, 1990. He lived in Waltham before the family moved to Sherborn, MA in 1998. Since 2011, he has lived in Medway, MA. He spent part of 2003 living in Seoul Korea and learning about Korean culture and life. He attended Mt. Alvernia Academy in Chestnut Hill and Dover-Sherborn Middle and High schools, where he was active on their baseball and golf teams. He graduated in 2008. He worked for City Year, a member of the AmeriCorps national service network from 2008-2009. Subsequently, he attended Boston College from 2009 -2012, majoring in History and Political Science. He co- founded a small business with his father called ManzonandDad.com, where they had a notable presence on Etsy. Ben was gracious and charming and a giving soul, to whom people readily gravitated. He did significant charitable work, gave to others in need, occasionally boxed in charitable events and did intentional and random acts of kindness. He was a fiercely loyal friend and son. He was innately and, could be, uproariously funny. He loved playing and watching sports and movies. Ben had a rare ability to analyze complex events and see patterns and seemingly unlikely consequences long before they manifested, especially relative to his dad. Ben is survived by his mom, Susan (Bresnahan), dad, Gil; and sister, Grace; along with many uncles and aunts and loving cousins. He is also survived by his dogs and cats. He will be deeply missed. A Wake will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 11 until 1:00, followed by a brief Service.
