MORRISON, Catherine "Cathy" On Saturday, September 25, 2021, Catherine "Cathy" Morrison, 52, loving daughter, sister, friend and colleague passed away after a brief illness. At the time of her death, Cathy resided in London, England. Cathy was born in Stoughton to Charles and Elizabeth Morrison. She grew up in Wareham. A graduate of Wareham High School, Cathy received her B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from M.I.T. Although Cathy spent 30 years working as an HVAC engineer, she has a passion for writing. She enjoyed her science fiction and fantasy writing workshops and started publishing short stories shortly before moving to London in 2007. Cathy also loved watching and playing sports and enjoyed the beaches of Cape Cod. She was known for her quick wit, infectious smile, and her generous and compassionate spirit. Cathy was always the first to volunteer to help a friend or family member. Cathy was predeceased by her father, Charles. Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth "Betsy" (Murphy) Morrison of Wareham; her siblings, Lisa Morrison of Portland, OR, Charles Morrison, Jr. and his wife Sue Hogan of W. Wareham, and Deborah Morrison of New York, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed., Oct. 20, 2021 at St. Patrick's Church, 94 High St., Wareham, MA at 10 AM.
