Coleman Geary Obituary

In Venice, FL died October 27, 2001 at his home Rev. Coleman P., age 71, member and Deacon of Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, FL. Rev. Geary was born in South Boston and lived in Westwood, Longmeadow and Milton before moving to Venice in 1991. He was a graduate of Boston College and a member of the Golden Eagles. He served as an officer of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for 31 years retiring as a Colonel. Rev. Geary worked in the insurance industry retiring from Robert Pike Ins. Agency in Milton. He was ordained a Deacon in 1983 and served at St. Mary's Longmeadow, St. Ann's Church Dorchester and Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, FL. Beloved husband of Machaela (Cleary) Geary of Venice and the late Sally (Cunningham) Geary. Loving father of Margaret Geary of Leorninster, Coleman P. Jr. of Yarmouth, Neil J. of Blandford and Barbara Hadelman of Needham. Devoted brother of Mary Mullen of Milton, Joan Slattery of Centerville , his twin, Barbara Rinfret of Saugus and the late Joseph Geary and Theresa O'Connor. Also survived by 7 grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 am Saturday Nov.17 in St. Mary's Chapel at Boston College, Chestnut Hill. Remembrances may be made in memory of Coleman to the Society of St James the Apostle, 24 Clark St., Boston, MA 02109
