DAVID RIVERS HARVEY

HARVEY, David Rivers Of Bedford, formerly of Sudbury and Sarasota, FL, died peacefully, December 4, 2017, following a long and noble battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

He was predeceased by the love of his life and wife of 59 years, Mary Jane (Connolly) and by his grandson, Ryan Harvey. He was the son of James W. and Ethel (Rivers). Dave grew up in Belmont, and attended the Belmont Hill School, where he made lifelong friends and was a proud captain of the school hockey team. After graduating from Harvard University, he and Mary Jane settled in Sudbury, and raised four sons. Dave managed his own firm, Harvey Associates, specializing in office furniture, while also finding time to coach and attend countless youth baseball and hockey teams. He was an avid golfer and devoted Boston sports fan.

Dave is survived by his son David, Jr. and wife Peggy of Concord, son William and wife Susan of Matthews, NC, son Christopher and wife Eileen of Medway, and son Eric of Waltham. He was a cherished grandfather to Sarah, Elizabeth, James, Thomas, Benjamin, and Andrew. Dave was the brother of Joan Burns of Stow, Peter Harvey and his wife Carol of Littleton, and the late James W. Harvey, Jr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 7th from 4-6:30 PM at the Duckett - J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road (Route 20), SUDBURY. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts/NH Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA. 02452.
