DONNA DANEHY

1946 - 2014

Danehy, Donna Age 68 of Rockland passed away November, 5, 2014 after a long illness. She was born in Dorchester on October 18, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Gustav and Doreen Ericson and was raised in the Hough Neck section of Quincy. Donna was the beloved wife of the late Alfred R. Danehy. She is survived by her daughter Christine A. Hanley, her husband Brian of East Bridgewater, and her son Brian L Danehy his wife Katherine of Hanover. A Loving Grammy to Caitlyn, Olivia, Rosemary and Nicole as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the loving sister of Susan Rittenour, Donald Ericson, Steven Ericson and the late Frank Doherty. Donna loved spending time near the ocean, gardening, reading, enjoying quality time with family, friends and of course lunch with the girls from work. She was a retired registered nurse specializing in ICU care for over 45 years spending the last 30 years employed at Good Samaritan/ Cardinal Cushing Hospital. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St. (Rt.53) Hanover on Saturday from 2-5 PM. Funeral Home Service on Sunday at 11:30 am.
