EDITH ABBOTT Obituary

ABBOTT, Edith (Ruggiero) Third Order Franciscan Of East Boston, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2016. Beloved wife of the late William J. Abbott. Devoted mother of Paul T. and wife Mary Jane of Winthrop, Kenneth and wife Maria of Lynn, and the late William F. Abbott. Dear sister of Eva Bruno of East Boston and the late Mary Mirbella. Cherished grandmother of William and wife Katherine, Shaun, Kate, Kristin, Jazlynn, and the late Kenneth; and great-grandmother of Kevin. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor Edith's life by gathering in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) EAST BOSTON, on Tuesday, November 29th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday morning at 8:30, before leaving in procession to The Most Holy Redeemer Church, East Boston, for a Funeral Mass in celebration of Edith's life at 10:00 AM. Services will conclude with Edith being laid to rest with her beloved husband at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. May they both rest in peace. Edith was a member of the Third Order Franciscan. She worked for over twenty three years for Angel's Attic and Home Health Aid for Intercity. The funeral home is handicapped accessible. A children's lounge is also available. Courtesy valet parking is located at the front entrance along with ample off street parking with attendants in our parking lots.
