SCHULER, Edwina Woodman Died peacefully, at home in Wellesley, on July 10, 2025, at age 98. "Dwin" was born in Springfield, MA, in 1927, and moved to Wellesley in 1942. She attended Wellesley Public Schools and graduated from Middlebury College in 1949. She earned her Master of Education from Northeastern University in 1971. After 63 years together in their home on Emerson Road in Wellesley, Dwin moved in 2017 with her beloved late husband, John G. Schuler, to Waterstone of Wellesley. An active member of the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, as well as the South Brooksville United Methodist Church in Maine, Dwin was always happy and grateful to be a part of these two special church families. Service to her community took many shapes and forms over Dwin's lifetime, but first and foremost were love and loyalty to her husband and family. Dwin is survived by her son, Ed and wife, Jody of Columbia, SC; her son, Peter and wife, Sue of Westwood, MA; her daughter-in-law, Meredith of Harrisburg, PA; her daughter, Phyllis and husband, Les of Brighton, MA; along with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Dana in 1959 and Matthew in 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, on Saturday, July 26, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dwin's name to Family Promise Metrowest would be appreciated.
