Mr Barton probably saved my life. I pulled in to his job site, in Franklin Mass. I had long hair riding a Harley Davidson and I was a drunk. When Jim gave me the job I had no idea how it would change my life. The Barton family treated me like a human being, that was something different. He gave me good advice on buying my first house, but that was only the least of it. Understand with no college degree no father I was on the borderline I could have gone either way. James Barton and his son Jimmy,Steve Ftorek, and his son Steve and Robbie we're all instrumental and changing my life. Now I'm retired with 4 great children and six grandchildren I have been blessed. Working with f&b what are some of the best days of my life. I will always be grateful James Barton and the rest of the family ,I think of them often.

Jim Barton was our great friend. We danced, met for lunch and visited each other for 20 years or so. We will miss him and his pleasant, kind and kidding ways very much. He and Nita were great friends for many years and we enjoyed many good times together. Our sincere condolences to their sons and families. I know you will miss them terribly. Remember that Jim and Nita are now happily together again forever. May the good Lord bless and keep you all in His loving hands.

So many wonderful memories of Big Jim while growing up in
Herds corner.
He and Steve hired my brother Jack and I as "consultants" for Ftorek and Barton in the late 50's. We carried a lot of lumber for $2.00/hr
A truly great guy. May he rest in peace.
