James Francis McManus

78, of Lincoln, CA, formerly of Belmont, MA, passed away in CA on May 13, 2008. Devoted husband of Marie (Laviano) and loving father to Stephen (Tiffany), and Sandra of CA. Grandfather of 4 and great-grandfather of 3. "Favorite" uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents James and Elizabeth, and sister Betty McSweeney formerly of Somerville and Marlboro, MA. Mr. McManus was Controller & Chief Financial Officer of GTE Government Systems in Mt. View, CA. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corp and was a proud member of the "Chosin Few" serving in Korea. He was a graduate of both Bentley College & Boston College. Viewing will be at the Spangler Mortuary, 399 S. San Antonio Road, Los Altos, CA on Sunday, May 18th from 2 to 5 pm and 6:30 to 8:30 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Simon's Catholic Church, 1860 Grant Rd., Los Altos, CA at 10:30 am on May 19th. Internment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Los Altos.
