I worked at FW Webb's Stoughton branch from 1987 to 2000. My condolences to friends and family for the loss of a remarkable man who has made tremendous accomplishments in his life especially his service as an officer in the USN. His legacy is an inspiration.

I've worked at FW Webb since my 15 year old daughter was 1. I owe a great deal of gratitude to this great man for the life I've been able to live and father I've been able to be. My career, my life, my daughter's life would not be the same without you Mr. Pope. I will always keep you in my thoughts and honor your memory through continuous effort. Thank you John. God bless you.

My uncle called me 'Fly' because back when we were young and played great football games with family with my father and my uncle as quarterback, he had to swat me away like a fly to get off the passes. When I was attending prep school in NH in the 70's, he stopped by in the spring one year and grabbed me for a weekend in NH. There we played a pickup game of softball with my grandmother as ump (she could barely see) and a local kid who was walking by joined in. He made it happen, and we all joyfully played that implausible game. He was so proud of my prep school graduation that he hired an airplane to fly above the ceremony while we were waiting for the event to start--"Congratulations Fly!" said the banner. Thank you Uncle John for sharing your enthusiasm for life with me! Love You!

Our sincerest condolences to the Pope Family from the DiPirro' s in Hooksett NH.
John was an admired and respected close friend to my Dad, Ray DiPirro. Generations of our family have been and continue to be blessed by and are honored to serve the great organization that John built, FW Webb.
John was a great leader and a great man.

The Last Goodbye
The ship awaits you
The sea is ready
To bear you away
To the sunset of dreams
Tearful goodbyes
To the ones that love you
Knowing too well
That you cannot stay
We touched so briefly
Yet we remember
As if imprinted
On our very souls
You were the one
The whole world stopped for
You were the one so humbly rare
You were the love of a lifetime journey
You were the one who made us care
Rest you now the incense burning
Rest you now within the tomb
Holding hands forever feeling
The love you gave
To the willing world
But on we go
The world still turning
And eyes so burning
From our river of tears
Thank you for the light you shined here
Thank you for your courage bold
Bless you for the years of trying
When the gift was so hard to hold
Rest you now in soft green linen
Sleep you now in Gods enfold
Take your memories of earths great lessons
To the stars-for the young and old.

Shocked to learn of John's passing. I was a longtime supplier to F.W. Webb Company . As the company grew my business did also. My condolences to the family and Webb Co. employees.

My deepest condolences to the Pope family. I have many great memories working at FW Webb in the late 80's and early 90's. Hearing about the infamous salesmen's meeting where John placed a dinosaur on the table and told the salesmen that they too could become extinct like the dinosaur. My desk was close to John's office and he thought it was funny to call me Money Penny since I was the keeper of the petty cash box. I will keep John and his family in my prayers.
