Joe was a great man full of common sense, knowledge and love for everyone he met. Loved listening to his stories of growing up in a big family. We all at the War College love you and will miss you dearly.

What a gentle humble man he was! I never knew Jody well in school-but anytime I saw him after that he was always quiet. I know you all will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers to you all.

To Joe's Family: you were so blessed to have a brother and uncle that was such a great, wonderful person who was liked by everyone. He knew so much about so many things and was a genuinely nice person. He has been in my thoughts continuously this past year. I hope you can rest a little easier knowing that he will by kayaking the waters of heaven!

I would not have fond memories of growing up in Wellesley, were it not for the fun we had on the Circle with Jodie and all his siblings. Playing ball, going down to the Pond, Hardy School that was a blast!! You will never be forgotten my little friend.

The loss of someone special is always hard on those left behind. Generations to come at the Naval War College will appreciate the past in part because of his dedication to the art of photography and the stories told in his many pictures.

Going all the WAY BACK to the Hardy School. He just about might be the Nicest Man I have ever met. I do believe we were in Cub Scouts together, and I remember Liking him then and every time I encountered him over the years, that is the thought I would have..... What A Great Guy...
