BOMBEROWITZ, Mary Jo (Moran) On January 11, 1948, Mary Jo Bomberowitz, née Moran, was born on Long Island, NY, where she spent her childhood. On May 31, 2022 at the age of 73, Mary Jo died peacefully at her home in Newton Highlands, MA. Having celebrated one last Memorial Day, she left our world as an accomplished woman who built a wonderful life and raised a loving family; she is at peace with her husband. She met her late husband, Bob, while an undergraduate at Rutgers University. She graduated from Rutgers with a bachelor's degree in biology. After graduation, Mary Jo and Bob did a stint in New Jersey before settling in Newton. Mary Jo built a social life and was an active member of her church. She cared for her friends and neighbors, sending get-well cards, housewarming gifts, and heartfelt congratulations on graduations, weddings, and births.  Mary Jo worked in epidemiology labs at the Deaconess hospital in Boston before having her children, Ian and Justin. Mary Jo was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and her life in Newton. She joyfully picked her kids up from sporting practices, summer camps, field trips, sleepovers, etc.  It wouldn't be long until she became a proud grandmother. Mary Jo cherished her two grandchildren, Samuel and Annie. She loved seeing them in Boston sportswear as they romped around North Carolina. She was so impressed with the mother, her daughter-in-law, Lynn, became. Mary Jo loved to buy annuals every spring and plant them only after Memorial Day. Memorial Day was a beautiful day this year, and she will be happy for all the plants going into the ground. She loved flowers and worked for years tending to her gardens.  Mary Jo is survived by her two sons, Ian and Justin; their spouses, Colby and Lynn (respectively); her two precious grandchildren, Samuel and Annie; and her golden retriever, Hudson.
