MICHAEL SCANLON Obituary

Scanlon, Michael R. 67, of Acton & a Leominster native, Oct. 9, 2015. Beloved husband of 44 years to Monica Mitchell Scanlon. Loving father of Sean and Stephen. Son of the late John & Margaret (Boyle) Scanlon. Brother of Mary Newcombe. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, & friends. Funeral service Sat., Oct.17th at 10am in St. Anne's Church, 75 King St, (Rte 2A/110) Littleton. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in memory of Michael Roger Scanlon to the Stem Cell Transplant Discovery Fund at Massachusetts General Hospital. To the Schanlon Family,

On behalf of the Charleston Base SUBVETS and Swamp Fox Chapter SUBVETS WWII, I offer you our sincere condolences on Michael's passing. We grieve with you on the loss of your loved one and all SUBVETS and their families have your family in our thoughts and prayers. There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Michael will always be remembered as a Brother of the Phin and a great Patriot.
