Norma was an exceptional person and caregiver. She had wonderful talent figuring out how to approach blood sugars long before cutting edge pump technology. She was the only person at Joslin who could achieve great blood sugar control during my two pregnancies in 1989, 1992. I will never forget her compassion, dedication and commitment to her patients. She made a huge impact on so many. Condolences to her loved ones and family with love, Karen

Hello to all who loved this wonderful person. I just fount out about the loss of Norma. I am in tears thinking she was retired and loving life. I was a patient of Norma's in the late 80's. She was a wonderful person who took her job very seriously with empathy and kindness along with absolute
talent to treat diabetes. She was my sole caretaker at Joslin for many years including when I had my two children through the pregnancy clinic. I told all the doctors Norma was the only one who could get my blood sugars in line. She was patient, took great observation of trends and always found a way to make my blood sugars normalize, especially when I was dealing with the pregnancies. She had such a gift, such dedication and such love for her occupation. I worked at Joslin while she was there and when I left, she continued to care for me. It was a very sad day when she left the clinic. I know she was an inspiration to many more than me, to her loved ones, her wife, her friends and to all who knew her unique ability to sum up the good and the bad and never blamed the bad when diabetes was concerned. I truly loved Norma and have missed her for so many years. Now, I miss her presence on this earth, but know, Heaven has found its finest. God Bless all who knew you, Norma, and thank you for all you gave to me with guidance, care, intelligence and a friendship I will never forget.

To Norma's family, especially Jeanne; I lcannot express how much Norma meant to me.I just celebrated 30 years with type 1 diabtes and Norma was with me from day 1 until the day she retired - a day which we both cried. I felt like I had lost another mother and I was so honored to have known her. She shared with me about Jeanne, so I am thrilled to see that you and Norma married! As I have been reflecting on the years, I decided to look up Norma.I am so sorry for all of yours loss. What an incredibly special woman she was.
